Privacy Policy

NoteTrail is built to need as little of your data as possible. The short version: your practice data stays on your device, we don't run accounts, and we don't track you.

What the app stores — and where

• Practice data (your answers, accuracy per note, streaks, XP, quest progress, settings) is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us or anyone else.
• No account exists. We don't ask for your name, email, or any identifier.

Microphone (Real Piano mode)

• The microphone is used only while a Real Piano practice session is on screen, and only after you grant iOS permission.
• Audio is analyzed on-device, in real time, to detect the pitch you played. It is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• Turning Real Piano mode off (or denying permission) leaves every other feature fully functional.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We receive no payment details. Entitlements are verified on your device using Apple's StoreKit; we operate no purchase server.

Analytics and tracking

• No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included.
• The app makes no network calls of its own in normal use. The only network activity is Apple's own App Store/StoreKit machinery.
• We do not collect data used to track you across apps or websites. The App Store privacy label for NoteTrail is "Data Not Collected."

Children

NoteTrail does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There is nothing to collect.

Data deletion

Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. There is no server copy to request or erase.

Changes

If a future feature changes any of the above (for example, optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated first and the feature will be opt-in.
